Have you ever heard of a “Pop-up Izakaya”? It is the same concept as a pop-up restaurant.

What is an “Izakaya”? It is an Asian cocktail lounge serving drinks and tasty food entrees. Normally the food is carefully selected, served in small dishes as appetizers, and paired with specialty drinks of the Izakaya.

Lotus Spirits, having a following of eccentric out-of-the-box thinkers, went one step further.

Our creative “Pop-up Izakaya” focuses on “hole-in-the-wall” food establishments. The menu is the “chef’s choice” of what he or she feels will pair well with aged awamori.
